A Fun Day With Family

We are getting ready to go out of town for the weekend, and since we just got back from DC, we can't impose on my mom again.  Instead, Meg and Dustin are letting us impose on them and agreed to take Munich for a few days.  Yesterday morning Clare and I packed up our beloved German Shepherd, stopped by C'est Si Bon for some croissant's to sweeten the deal, and then drove Munich down to Meg and Dustin's house to play with Molly for the weekend (saying prayers the whole way down that she doesn't dig, chew or generally destroy any item in their home and/or yard...).  Once there, we saw Oma, Gramps and Oma-Oma and were treated to some quality time with Meg (who I miss so much and love spending time with) and her most perfect little boy, Donovan.  Seriously, this little mister is adorable.

After that, we rushed home and waited for Grammy, Jake and the birthday girl, Stephanie to get here so that we could all go to the fair together.  This was both Clare's and my first time attending the OC Fair, and I have to say - we both would gladly return.  We loved seeing the animals and checking out all the sites and sounds the fair had to offer.  Once we had seen all there was to see, we headed back to the house and picked up Jonathan for a little birthday dinner for Stephanie, where to her chagrin, she was serenaded with a happy birthday song and even forced to wear a sombrero.  We loved it, she...didn't!

Now I'm packing up all the last minute stuff and we'll be leaving for our drive up to SF and back down the coast.  Wish us luck...Clare has never been on a Dease roadie before (Clare and I are flyers) so we'll see how this goes.
