Happy Birthday Clare and Jonathan

Our birthdays are feathers in the broad wing of time.  ~Jean Paul Richter

This year we kept all birthday celebrations to a minimum.  We started out thinking that we would have a little party for Clare, but then all kinds of opportunities popped up and we decided we would go to Hawaii instead.  Trust me - it was a good trade off.

We did celebrate in small ways.  For Jonathan, we started the day off at Kean (our favorite coffee house) and took him to his favorite spot for sushi.  Clare had her friends and neighbors over for cupcakes on the 26th (the day before she and Jonathan really added a year to their ages) and in doing so, we discovered that she didn't want anything more than that.  It was a great celebration and though we don't have a lot of pictures, we thought we'd share the few we took...

THis is one pumped princess.  By the way - this dress was made by Clare's Oma out of Aunt Meg's old bridesmaid dresses. How great is that?!?!?
